.........................................................................................................................................................................

well my friends... i have been non-stop these past few days. i can't stop listening to the new kate bush album 'aerial'. it's the most stunning masterpiece i've ever heard in my life. i recorded today with one of my other favorite artists, the scattered pages, and threw down some backing vocals and sang the lead in everyone's favorite morrissey - smiths song, 'please please please let me get what i want'. it will be available for download on their site soon- or you can get the entire christmas bonus cd at their christmas show- details coming soon.

here's some shots from today...

before recording we had some johnny walker and a smoke. this is andy- the engineer and drummer for the scattered pages.

brandon overseeing the project in the studio. brandon is the main songwriter, guitarist, and singer. we missed kurt (bass, songwriter, and vocals) today, but he showed up later for the photoshoot.

take two.

on the floor mixing the tracks. (notice the hurricane tape still on the windows!)

mike and headphones.

awaiting the final touches...

finished!! it's wonderful! just you wait!

now let's go back to the final few days of my alaska trip...

leaving skagway was very bittersweet. i loved my time there but was also aniticipating
seeing canada again- it's been a long time, and i've never been to victoria, the capitol of british columbia.

a beautiful rainbow appeared on off the side of the boat as we left skagway.

gay ol' alaska. hee hee

jason and toddicus on the ship. i kept calling it a boat- they're not too keen on that.

mmmm my nature lovin' kerstie!!!

that's the little town of haines. they actually have a road that leads to the mainland, unlike skagway. so anchorage and haines have a cute little relationship.

some of the wicked shallows we passed through.

one of the thousands of waterfalls we passed.

eventually i got drunk and went to bed. by three o'clock the next day, we were arriving in victoria, canada.

o canada!

why, thank you!!

because i was traveling alone, this customs lady (total lesbian as well!) pulled me aside and asked me all these questions about (aboot!) my business in canada. i never thought they were gonna let me in!!

the capitol building in victoria!! so beautiful. just across from the building is the bay with sailboats and such- what a lovely city.

the empress hotel... still serving high tea!!

instead of enjoying tea with the locals, i decided to take a $30 cab ride (when jason joined later) to the butchart gardens.

on the way to the gardens i spied the irish pub in which i'd be enjoying local brew in the evening.

the money is a changin'!

this place is so kick ass.

i kept running into this gal from new york over and over. we had many many many drinks together.

mrs. butchart was displeased with the way the land looked after her husband was finished with the quarry that was the family business. so, she got her gloves and shovel out and just gardened her married ass off.

yeah, it was all this pretty.

roses roses everywhere.

always stop and smell the roses.

totems are a significant part of canadian history as well.

like i said, plants and flowers everywhere.

weeeeeeeee!!!!!!! skipping stones in the asian gardens!

this was the family's private cove. really.

i couldn't believe i found a palm tree in canada.

at night they light the gardens up.

and lit me up as well.

then it was off to the irish times for beer!

kerstie and myself drinkin' it up.

across the street is the famous elephant and castle restaurant.

the capitol building all lit up at night...

this was paul's last night on the boat... so, of course, we drank it up!!

that's all for now...

goodnight... who wants to crawl in bed with me for christmas?? it's so cold and lonely!

send me your emails and keep watching the site- there's lots more to come...
