The Cicada Killer Wasp (or Sand Hornet) (they're actually hornets...  wasps are the mean part of the family)

well boys and girls...  here's my neighbour that moved away last year and returned this year.  believe it or not it's a very gentle creature towards humans...  i sit by her often and just watch her buzz around, spread her wings on the bricks and HUNT

i kept finding a curiously large hole in my yard last year and THIS year in my garden.  well, this solitary creature digs a hole to bury its kill and lay her eggs...  read about this gorgeous creature here.  it's amazing.  sorry the pictures i took aren't that great...  i was just glad to see her back in my life.  xoxo

what a looker!!!

she's huge!

bzzzzzz     in flight on the hunt!!

look at that hole she dug!

the final resting place for the cicada and
where junior will be born-  from out of
the cicada's body!!  RAHHHRRR!!!!!!!!

and coming sooooooon...

drunk in london!!!!!!!

you'll love it!

xoxoxoxo

write to me...  i love all of you.

Glenwood/Washington Cemetery

hi everybody.  i go to this cemetery to relax, get some sun, study names, dates, visit with the dead, and of course, write poetry.  one of the largest trees in texas is here and some famous people too.  enjoy the pics and links.  xoxo

look at this monster!

from the fagaceae family...  this is  quercus virginiana.
or...  texas live oak.

branches you can walk right up! and i always get kicked out
of the tree by security!

i can't even fit the whole thing in the picture!

PSC - Penis Size Counts - arms outstretched!!  sorry.  bad joke.
i just thought that up when i saw my shirt in the picture.

right out of lord of the rings

here's the original sign with all the info-  somebody, or the groundskeepers, broke it.

naughty angel!

howard hughes is buried here.

looks like florida, but it's texas, kids.
this is the old section, washington cemetery in houston,
not the adjoining glenwood cemetery

had some help from this patootie...

...caught me in a wanna-be model pose.

have a great day. or night. whatever time it is.  hope you're great.
