y'all... i am soooo sorry about my lack of updates and communication. my house was burglarized and the bitches took all my shit. even my precious camera with which i take all these fun pictures. my poetry is safe, my morrissey and siouxsie collections are safe. the new book in my computer: safe. please know that i'll be up and running in a few weeks with all kinds of suprises. love y'all - thanks for all the sweet emails and words of concern. later lovers xoxo toddicus

*quick update- i promise to update the site this week... in the meantime, check out this link and hear me singing a song with the scattered pages!! click on "please please please"... yes, it's available for download. put it in your ipod and enjoy!! *

my mom kicks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey everybody- how's it going? just sitting here listening to the new morrissey cd, "ringleader of the tormentors" and just finished with kate bush's "aerial". karaoke last night at guava lamp was a hoot. i gotta tell ya, the hottie's go to guava, that's for sure. anyway, what news do i have for y'all? well, i discovered a hilarious website called pink is the new blog. y'all know i'm no star-fucker (unless it's siouxsie sioux) and don't really give two shits about celebrities... well, after discovering trent's blog, i'm hooked. he updates it almost every single day and you are guaranteed laugh-out-loud moments.

oh yeah! my mom. well, she flew into town to see her new granddaughter, and of course, to get drunk with me.

i picked my mom up in pearland, texas and drove her ass to galveston for some funtime.

she wanted to put her hair up cause of the wind during the drive. i drive like, well 90 mph usually.

which way to the beach?

upon crossing the bridge to galveston island, there's this wonderful view of moody gardens (there's a toddicus.com archive on that) and the pyramids.

we went to eat at the ocean grill and ordered their famous bloody marys. i made my mom drink some water. she was puttin' 'em away faster than i was!! damn, woman!

it's laughable when i call someone a lush! i can't believe she finished hers before i finished mine! my mom kicks ass!! i told you!

i am my mother's son.

mmmmmmmmmm the ocean!!!

our waiter snapped a shot for us...

walking down the sea wall...

it's spring... so the weeds in galveston wash up to the shore like they do every year.

remember, my mom lives in indiana... she was so excited to get down to the sea and walk in the ocean. she's the same as i am. she says, "water is so theraputic."

would you believe that my kick ass mom is 62 years old. no shit.

i love my mom! holy crap!

ew!

we went farther upshore and the weeds really got thick.

mom, you are too cute.

this washed-up portuguese man-o-war was not cute. it was still moving around. ew! my mom and i debated putting the stinging bastard back in the ocean as every living creature has a right to be here... but then we decided that mother nature washed him up for a reason. still though, ew!

gratuitous self-shot.

the pisceans are happy by the water.

later i took my mom to the historic strand area of galveston for some coffee to alleviate our drunken heads!

java is the place for coffee on the island.

some hurricane damage was still apparent.

galveston trolley. oh look! average americans in the right-hand corner. well good for them, they're walking instead of taking the trolley. you go bitches!

remember the shit statue that i updated back in 2004 in the archives? well, here he is again still covered in bird shit and apparently thrilled about it.

my mom wanted a nice picture of me under the statue...

...but i just wanted to lick his feet! lol!

feed us!

by the docks...

the shit statue!

goodbye for now... have a great week everybody. email, let me know where you are, what you're up to, and who did what!!

houston's buffalo bayou, downtown.

hey everyone. i'm sitting here with brandon from the scattered pages looking at his new cd this is where the story ends. it comes out april 18th. you'll have an update from the release party next week for sure! the album is so wonderful as is the artwork. totally breathtaking.

anyway, i spent the day sunday downtown houston at buffalo bayou park. any asshole that says, "houston is so ugly" can kiss my white ass. here's proof that houston is the jewel of the south!

this owl was in my japanese plum tree last week.

this is where we started our trip around downtown houston's bayou. there's a bat colony under this bridge. you can smell the guano really heavily at night when you drive over it.

there's the new sign for the bat colony. at dusk you can stand on the bridge and they'll all fly out in a big black cloud. way cool. i look like i have to poop.

michelle prepares to walk under the bat droppings...

warning!

we're a bilingual community here...

here i come houston!

khou tower...

houston is quite artzy as well.

this is poison ivy. please don't touch.

there's lots of it down by the water.

and these are stinging nettles. don't walk through them in shorts... trust me.

this is the dog fountain. i don't remember what i was comparing the size of the ball to...

houston is miiiiiiiiiine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

houston skyline from the bayou.

the spillwell, or spillway if you're from the north.

me on the spillwell... i know. i lost my tan. it's been three months since miami.

we crossed over to the other side of the bayou from downtown.

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii miiiiiiiiiicheeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllle!!!!!!!!

looks like one of the robots in artificial intellegence.

stalker on the bayou.

more food for metal lions.

wish i was on the otherside. nothin' wrong with a boy playing with his stick!

pretty bird pretty bird.

kayaking down the bayou.

southland in the springtime.

me in the tree.

part of the trail takes us underneath this creepy bridge...

we're not kidding.

even the city streets look cool down here.

there are mulberries all along the trail. michelle and i ate a bunch of them. they stain your fingers purple.

i was having a charlie's angels moment.

3333 allen parkway. one of houston's newest housing towers.

later, i put on michelle's bono glasses at onion creek for mimosas after our long hike.

i like to grind up mediterranean sea salt and eat it when i'm drinking.

yum! all done!

i'm tipsy.

thanks for visiting today. i got back home and put on a cub scouts shirt (don't laugh kelly) and rested up for my next adventure...

see you guys soon- i'll have new poetry up in the next few days...
